Inspection of under construction power sub-station in Nongpoh done by MLA

As part of efforts to closely inspect the ongoing construction of the 132 KV Power Sub-Station at Umlyngkdait village in Nongpoh, the MLA of Nongpoh Constituency today visited the site to ensure that the work is progressing without any shortcomings and can be completed on time. The inspection was accompanied by the village headman of Umlyngkdait, NS Makdoh, along with engineers, contractors, and officials from the Nongpoh power department.

Speaking after the inspection, Mayral Born Syiem stated that the work is progressing smoothly without any issues, and it is expected that the 132 KV Power Sub-Station will be completed within the stipulated time. “Nongpoh region has long faced problems due to the lack of a stable power supply, which has significantly affected daily lifebespecially students, government offices, and self employed individuals as the area currently depends only on a 33 KV power supply,” he said.

He further added that the establishment of the 132 KV Power Sub-Station in Nongpoh will be a major boost for the area, as it is expected to provide a more stable and stronger power supply compared to previous years. Mayral Born Syiem, also urged the engineers and contractors to ensure quality work and timely completion.
