Shigllong: The Ri-Bhoi Police plan to reconstruct the crime scene so that the criminals may be exposed and the entire course of the crime – a gruesome murder of a 10-year-old kid in Umtyngar Hamlet in Jirang Constituency – can be discovered.
On Friday, Ri-Bhoi Superintendent of Police Jagpal Singh Dhanoa claimed that it was discovered that the victim had spent the night of February 17 at one of the two detained suspects’ sheds.
When the victim attempted to flee the following morning with a liquor bottle that belonged to one of the suspects, Banshngain Tynsong and an accomplice pursued him and killed him by suffocating him with a sack out of rage. The corpse was then hidden in a neighboring forest, and Dhanoa stated in a statement that they waited until dusk to move it to Comand Nongrang’s property.
The statement also mentioned the arrest of the accomplice, who is not named.
