Estimated read time 2 min read

iQOO has officially disrupted the premium mid-range market with the launch of the iQOO 15R in India on February 24, 2026. Positioning itself as a “performance powerhouse,” the device debuts as the first in iQOO’s flagship lineup to carry the ‘R’ moniker, aiming to deliver top-tier speed at a more accessible price point. The headlining feature is undoubtedly the gargantuan 7,600mAh silicon anode battery, one of the largest ever seen in a flagship-class smartphone. Despite this massive capacity, iQOO has maintained a surprisingly slim 7.9mm profile, supporting the cell with 100W FlashCharge technology that can juice the device from 1% to 50% in just about 33 minutes.

Under the hood, the iQOO 15R is powered by the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process, allowing it to achieve an impressive AnTuTu score exceeding 3.5 million. To cater to gamers, the phone includes a dedicated Supercomputing Q2 chip, which enables 144FPS gaming and 1.5K super-resolution in popular titles. The visual experience is handled by a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a staggering peak brightness of 5,000 nits, ensuring perfect visibility even under direct sunlight. The device also carries rugged IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it resistant to both deep submersion and high-pressure water jets.

On the photography front, the iQOO 15R focuses on quality over quantity with a dual-camera setup. It features a 50MP Sony LYT-700V main sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) for sharp, cinematic shots, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, a 32MP front camera is housed within the punch-hole display. Running on Android 16-based OriginOS 6, the company has also committed to a long-term software lifecycle, promising four years of OS upgrades and six years of security patches.

The iQOO 15R is priced competitively, starting at ₹44,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant, while the 12GB + 512GB top-end model is priced at ₹52,999. Available in Triumph Silver and Dark Knight colorways, the smartphone will be available for pre-booking starting today, with the first official sale scheduled for March 3, 2026, via Amazon and the iQOO India e-store. Early bird offers include an instant bank discount of ₹4,000, bringing the effective starting price down to a highly attractive ₹40,999.
