GOC 41 Sub Area Flags Off “The Eastern Edge Expedition” From Jorhat To Shillong

On the second day of “The Eastern Edge Expedition,” the General Officer Commanding, 41 Sub Area, flagged off the bike rally from Jorhat to Shillong on 19 February 2026, marking the commencement of the next leg of the expedition being conducted under Operation Sadbhavana 2025-26 by Assam Rifles in partnership with Hero MotoCorp.

The rally is being undertaken by a contingent of 24 bikers, comprising 12 representatives from Assam Rifles and 12 representatives from Hero MotoCorp, symbolising strong teamwork and civil–military synergy. The expedition celebrates resilience, camaraderie and the indomitable spirit of the Northeast while promoting adventure tourism, youth engagement and regional connectivity.

As the riders traverse diverse and challenging terrains en route, the expedition continues to embody discipline, perseverance and the shared pride of carrying the Tiranga across the eastern region of the Nation. The initiative further reinforces the commitment of Assam Rifles towards fostering harmony, outreach and national integration through meaningful engagement with communities across the Northeast.
