Missing Workers Search: Amit Shah Says 2 Additional NDRF Teams Rushed to Meghalaya

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced the dispatch of two additional National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams to the site of a tragic coal mine explosion in Meghalaya’s East Jaintia Hills district. Shah expressed his condolences regarding the loss of life, noting that one NDRF team has already arrived at the scene. He communicated with Meghalaya’s Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma, offering full support from the central government. The explosion, which occurred at an illegal mine on Thursday afternoon, has resulted in 18 confirmed deaths, with numerous workers still believed to be trapped inside the mine.
