The scale and scope of INDIAWOOD 2026, scheduled from February 26 to March 2 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru, reflect the growing policy-driven momentum behind India’s woodworking and furniture manufacturing industry. Organised by NürnbergMesse India and supported by EUMABOIS, the 26th edition will be the largest in the platform’s history.

With participation from over 1,000 brands across 50+ countries, expected footfall of more than 90,000 professionals, and an expanded exhibition area of 85,000 square metres—up 15 per cent from the previous edition—the event aligns closely with the Viksit Bharat vision that prioritises advanced manufacturing, export competitiveness and global value-chain integration.

A key policy tailwind is the progressing India–EU Free Trade Agreement, described by policymakers as the “mother of all deals”. The agreement is expected to reduce or eliminate tariffs on a majority of traded goods, expand access for Indian engineered wood products in European markets, and facilitate smoother inflows of advanced machinery and industrial inputs. Together, these measures are likely to enhance productivity, encourage technology adoption and support export-led growth.

INDIAWOOD 2026 will reflect these policy objectives through a strong focus on Industry 4.0 technologies, automation-led manufacturing, sustainable materials, certified wood, low-emission products and skill development. Co-located platforms such as Wood+ in Architecture & Design and the India Mattresstech & Upholstery Supplies Expo further reinforce an integrated ecosystem supporting a furniture market projected to reach USD 40 billion by 2030.
