Meghalaya Canoe Slalom Team Earns Praise from Conrad Sangma After National Championship

The state team’s outstanding performance in the National Canoe Slalom Championship 2026, which took place at Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone region, has been commended by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma. Athletes from Meghalaya won nine medals in all, including two gold and seven silver. Meghalaya finished as the state’s overall runner-up at the competition because to its outstanding performance. “Heartiest congratulations to Manbhalang Kharkrang for winning Gold, and to Riyanka Nongsiej, Elizabeth Vincent, Vikash Rana, Purnima Rana, and Indra Sharma for securing Silver medals,” Sangma tweeted. In addition, he complimented Vikash Rana, Elizabeth Vincent, and Manbhalang Kharkrang for being chosen for the Asian Games coaching camp. “The Meghalaya Slalom Team is still making the state proud. “I hope they continue to succeed and achieve greatness in the future,” he remarked.
