Souraja Kundu, an alumna of IIT-Guwahati, has been awarded the prestigious 2025 Quad Fellowship, which promotes cross-national collaboration and interdisciplinary innovation. A 2021–25 graduate with a B. Tech. in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Souraja also received the Governor of Assam Gold Medal. This highly competitive international fellowship in STEM will allow her to pursue a Ph.D. in Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University, USA. She expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to connect with global STEM researchers and make a social impact through collaborative research. The Quad Fellowship provides financial support for graduate studies, leadership training, and access to a lifelong international network. Recipients undergo a rigorous selection process that assesses their holistic academic aspirations in STEM along with their ability to foster collaboration and achieve results. This year, 37 students from 11 countries were selected, with placements in the U.S. and Japan.
