Google CEO Sundar Pichai expressed excitement over the company’s partnership with Reliance Jio to provide Google AI Pro subscriptions free for 18 months to eligible Jio users. Announced in a joint blog post, the collaboration aims to expand access to advanced AI tools across India.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Pichai wrote, “Excited to partner with @RelianceJio to bring the best of Google AI to India. Eligible users will receive our AI Pro plan free for 18 months, including Gemini 2.5 Pro, 2TB of storage, and our latest AI creation tools.” He added that the initiative will empower Indian consumers, businesses, and developers by putting Google’s AI capabilities in their hands.
Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani said the partnership reflects his vision of making India “AI-empowered,” enabling citizens and enterprises to use intelligent tools for innovation and growth.
To access the offer, users must have a ₹349 or higher Jio 5G plan and claim it through the MyJio app. The AI Pro plan provides premium access to Gemini 2.5 Pro, image generation via Nano Banana, video creation with Veo 3.1 Flash, and 2TB of cloud storage.
