OpenAI has introduced a new subscription tier called ChatGPT Go, aimed at providing popular ChatGPT features at a more affordable price for Indian users. Priced at ₹399 per month, ChatGPT Go is a budget-friendly alternative to ChatGPT Plus and offers key upgrades over the free plan. One of the main highlights is extended access to GPT-5, OpenAI’s latest language model, which isn’t fully available in the free version.
Other benefits include the ability to upload and analyze more files, generate spreadsheets, and enjoy a longer context window for more personalized responses. Users can also access projects, tasks, and custom GPTs to help organise work and create tailored AI tools. Additionally, ChatGPT Go includes enhanced data analysis and higher image generation limits.
Compared to ChatGPT Plus, which costs ₹1999, ChatGPT Go is more limited. Plus subscribers get access to GPT-4o and OpenAI’s Sora, a text-to-video model, which are not included in the Go plan. Overall, ChatGPT Go is ideal for users wanting advanced features without paying the premium Plus price.
