Team Asia, led by Suraj Narredu, has won the Shergar Cup 2025 trophy. Narredu fulfilled his pledge to make an impression on the world stage from India to Ascot. He finished in second place, barely one point ahead of Europe, and won two of six races, joining Japanese jockeys Ryusei Sakai and Mirai Iwata. Asia trounced Europe 68–67, followed by Great Britain & Ireland with 55 and the Rest of the World with 62. Hugh Bowman took home the Silver Saddle as the leading jockey. At the prestigious Ascot Racecourse, Narredu, trained by Dylan Cunha, piloted Fireblade to win the Shergar Cup Stayers. Sakai rode Prince of India and scored in the Shergar Cup Sprint as well.
