Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s (TKM) flagship MPV, the InnovaHyCross, has received a 5-star safety rating for both adult and child occupant protection under the Bharat New Car Assessment Programme (Bharat NCAP), strengthening its position in India’s competitive auto market. The recognition, awarded in New Delhi by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, highlights Toyota’s unwavering focus on safety and innovation.

Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform and equipped with the advanced Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) suite, the HyCross features six airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX mounts—making it one of the safest vehicles in its class. The model has already crossed 1.35 lakh unit sales since its 2022 launch.

The HyCross is gaining popularity among urban families and professionals seeking reliability and fuel efficiency. Local dealers report growing interest, especially after the 5-star rating, with customers valuing its hybrid technology and premium features for navigating the region’s varied terrain. The Bharat NCAP recognition is expected to further drive sales momentum across northeastern markets, cementing the HyCross as a top choice in the MPV segment.
