Samsung’s flagship innovation programme Solve for Tomorrow 2025 is generating strong momentum across India’s youth, with recent roadshows in Jammu, Kolkata, and Shillong sparking tech-driven ideas aimed at solving real-world problems. The programme, launched on April 29, offers expert mentorship, prototyping support, and a chance for four winning teams to receive INR 1 crore each for project incubation. Applications are open for individuals aged 14–22 until June 30, 2025.

At North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) in Shillong, student Bashan Kur Buhroy proposed using drone-based delivery systems to transport emergency medicines to remote areas. “Many parts of the Northeast lack ambulance access. My goal is to bridge that gap using drones,” he said. The Shillong market, known for its growing interest in sustainable tech and public health solutions, presents a ripe ecosystem for innovation. The local startup community and university-backed incubators are increasingly aligning with national platforms like Samsung’s to bring ideas to life.

Meanwhile, students in Kolkata and Jammu pitched innovations ranging from AI tools for early learning disabilities to mobile apps for soil health monitoring. As the final application deadline nears, Samsung’s campaign leaves behind a stronger belief in the power of youth-led innovation.
