Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) kicked off Environment Month 2025, themed “Sustainable Resource Management Drive,” aligning with the Toyota Environmental Challenge 2050. The campaign promotes ‘Zero-Base Thinking’ to optimize resources through Refuse, Recycle, Reuse, and Reduce (4Rs), fostering sustainability across its value chain. Marking 25 years in India, TKM highlighted key achievements: 100% renewable energy for grid electricity, 89.3% water recycling, and 96% waste recyclability. The ‘Ecozone’ learning center has engaged over 42,000 stakeholders.

The “TKM Sustainable Hub 2025” will drive activities like the Green Expo, Wealth from Waste, and Tech Show, showcasing sustainable innovations. Initiatives include eliminating plastic packaging by 2030, promoting upcycled products, reducing CO2 and resource use, and enhancing afforestation. Community outreach and recognition of eco-contributions will further embed sustainability. TKM’s Executive Vice President, B. Padmanabha, emphasized transformative solutions for a greener future, guided by Toyota’s “Respect for the Planet” philosophy.
