Copper futures prices rise on increased spot demand

New Delhi, May 22: Copper futures prices rose 0.24 percent to Rs 862.85 per kg on Thursday due to increased spot demand.

The price of copper contracts for June delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 2.10 or 0.24 percent to Rs 862.85 per kg in a business turnover of 5,270 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
