The vibrant city of Shillong hosted a high-octane spectacle today as the JK Tyre powered Indian Racing Festival wrapped up in Meghalaya, in collaboration with the Meghalaya Motorsport Society and Assam Rifles. The event, held at DGAR Cantonment, brought together an electric mix of motorsport enthusiasts, featuring stunning drifting displays by high-performance Lexus and BMW cars, exhilarating superbike stunts, and impressive karting performances.
Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, Director General Assam Rifles, and Rosetta Mary Kurbah, Deputy Commissioner of East Khasi Hills, were present to witness the excitement. Lt. Gen. Lakhera praised the event’s contribution to spreading positivity, while Mr. Hari Singh, Head of Operations – JK Tyre Motorsport, highlighted the event’s significance in igniting motorsport passion among the youth.
The event was powered by JK Tyre’s flagship Levitas Ultra tyres, showcasing cutting-edge performance technology. As the festival moves to Guwahati and Gangtok, it emphasizes the company’s commitment to motorsports in Northeast India, a region showing increasing enthusiasm for such events.
