Maldives team arrives in Shillong for match with India

The Maldives national football team arrived in Shillong on Sunday, setting the stage for a historic international friendly against India on March 19 at 7 PM at JN Stadium, Polo. This highly anticipated match marks a significant milestone for Meghalaya, as it will be the first-ever international football game hosted in the state.

The visiting team received a warm welcome at noon from Cliff Nongrum, Vice President of the Meghalaya Football Association (MFA), along with other MFA members.

The reception took place at Hotel Vivanta in Khyndailad, where the Maldivian squad will be stationed ahead of their clash with the Blue Tigers.
