The UDP working president, Paul Lyngdoh said that the party is confident of leading the next Executive Committee (EC) in the KHADC. Talking to reporters after casting his votes here on Friday, Lyngdoh said that predictions and indications show that the UDP is going to do very well across all the districts of the Khasi Hills areas.
When asked that the NPP Cabinet Minister, Ampareen Lyngdoh has indicated that the party will have an alliance with UDP after elections in the KHADC, he said that he is not jumping the gun at the moment and is waiting to see what happens after February 24.
According to him, they will have to see what kind of numbers emerge and also take note of the party-wise tally. Meanwhile, Lyngdoh who is also the party’s sitting local MLA from West Shillong constituency said that they are super confident of making it to the top in Jaiaw constituency.
