KPIT Tech shares surge 12% on 20% inflation in net profit in Q3, firm raises margin guidance

KPIT Technologies has reported a 20 percent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 187 crore in the December quarter. It reported a net profit of Rs 155 crore in the year-ago period, according to a regulatory filing on January 29, 2025.

Revenue for the quarter under review stood at Rs 1,478 crore, up 17.6 percent from Rs 1,257 crore in October-December of FY24. The company has also raised its EBIT margin guidance for FY25.

Shares of KPIT Technologies rose 11.58 percent to Rs 1,404.9 per share on the NSE after the company raised its margin guidance. The stock rebounded after three consecutive sessions of decline.

The company now expects its EBITDA margin to be over 21 percent, as against over 20.5 percent estimated earlier. It has maintained its constant currency revenue growth guidance in the range of 18-22 percent.

KPIT Tech also secured contracts worth $236 million during the quarter, the company said. Kishor Patil, co-founder, CEO and MD of KPIT Technologies, said the company is investing in AI technologies with automotive-specific data.

He said, “Our AI philosophy lies in developing human-centric, innovative, safe and responsible AI solutions that drive value creation for our customers. We will leverage these AI investments to enhance our talent pool while creating new opportunities for future growth.”

He further added that the company’s leadership and strong relationships with its top 25 customers were reflected in high deal closures, efficient cash conversion and a strong pipeline build.

The company has also declared an interim dividend of 2.50 for the financial year 2024-25.

“The board of directors of the company at its meeting held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, has approved an interim dividend of Rs 2.50 (i.e. 25%) per equity share of face value of Rs 10 each for the financial year 2024-25,” the company said in an exchange filing.

The company has fixed Tuesday, February 4, 2025, as the record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for corporate action.
