Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has bolstered its presence in India’s growing pre-owned car market by inaugurating its first Company Owned Toyota Used Car Outlet (TUCO) in Northeast India. Situated in Guwahati, the 4,000-square-foot facility can accommodate over 15 certified Toyota vehicles, emphasizing transparency, convenience, and quality for buyers and sellers. This is TKM’s third TUCO, following launches in Bengaluru and Delhi.
TUCO-certified vehicles undergo a stringent 203-point inspection by Toyota-trained technicians, ensuring global standards of quality, safety, and reliability. The facility offers features such as the ‘Valuate Your Car’ online tool, warranties of up to 30,000 kilometers or two years, and three complimentary services at any Toyota service center nationwide. TUCO’s hallmark ‘MARU MARU’ cleaning process adds to the appeal of its certified pre-owned cars.
The Guwahati TUCO is expected to resonate in Shillong, where demand for dependable used cars is rising. As a prominent hub in Meghalaya, Shillong’s consumers can benefit from Toyota’s certified vehicles, providing a trusted alternative in the fragmented local used car market. With the Indian used car market poised for an 8% CAGR, TKM’s Northeast expansion highlights the strategic role of regional hubs like Guwahati and Shillong in driving growth and enhancing customer access to reliable mobility solutions.
