Vodafone Idea (Vi) has introduced an AI and ML-driven spam SMS identification solution aimed at enhancing user safety and securing communication networks. The solution detects and tags unsolicited messages as “Suspected Spam,” empowering users to avoid phishing attempts and scams. Since its testing phase, it has flagged over 24 million spam messages, reflecting its potential to mitigate risks in the growing digital communication market.
Jagbir Singh, CTO, Vodafone Idea, highlighted, “Our AI-powered spam detection technology reinforces our commitment to customer safety by delivering proactive, real-time protection. Vi is focused on staying ahead of threats and empowering customers with safer communication.” The system integrates real-time analysis and pattern recognition to identify spam, while adaptive learning ensures it evolves with emerging trends.
In Shillong’s dynamic market, where SMS communication underpins small businesses and customer interactions, Vi’s solution ensures safer digital transactions. By reducing the risk of scams, it builds trust among users and enhances operational efficiency, particularly for enterprises relying on SMS-driven promotions and updates.
