Oriflame, a prominent Swedish holistic well-being brand, recently made a significant impact at the Swedish Networking Reception hosted by the Swedish Embassy. The event highlighted sustainability and featured renowned Swedish brands like Ikea, Volvo, H&M, and Tetra Pak, emphasizing their roles in strengthening India-Sweden relations.
Oriflame showcased its dedication to sustainability with a 100% biodegradable stall, reflecting its close-to-nature philosophy. Notably, 80% of Oriflame’s brand partners are women, and an impressive 85% of its products sold in India are locally produced. These achievements underline the brand’s commitment to both the economic and social development of the country.
Edyta Kurek, Senior Vice President & Head of India, stated, “We are committed to empowering millions of women by offering them financial independence through our business model.” She emphasized that with 60% of Oriflame’s global workforce comprising women, the brand actively promotes gender equality and community upliftment through safe, eco-friendly products. Additionally, 95% of Oriflame’s rinse-off products launched in 2023 are designed to be biodegradable, reinforcing its commitment to a sustainable future and clean beauty, while fostering a positive societal impact through micro-entrepreneurship initiatives.
