Conrad Sangma highlights historical roots of Manipur crisis, seeks central intervention

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma has called on the Central government to intervene in the ongoing crisis in Manipur, stressing the complexity of the situation and its deep historical roots. Addressing the turmoil in the neighboring state, Sangma highlighted the multi-layered nature of the conflict, involving diverse communities and long-standing grievances.

“The circumstances in Manipur are intricate, shaped by both current developments and historical tensions,” Sangma remarked. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive political solution that can restore confidence among all communities involved.
