DU declared academic calendar for first year students; Classes from 29th August

DU 2024: Delhi University has released the academic calendar for first year undergraduate students for the 2024-2025 academic session. Semester 1 classes will begin on Thursday, August 29. DU will conduct a theory examination for these students from January 6 and after conducting the semester examination, the students will be given winter vacation.
Candidates can check the complete academic schedule on the official website – admission.uod.ac.in. Winter vacation will last for two days till 25-26 January.
DU students will start their second semester from Monday, January 27 and will take a one-week mid-semester break from March 9 to March 16.
The final session theory examination for second semester students will be conducted from June 7. After completion of their first year, students will be provided summer vacation from June 29 to July 20, 2025.
In this session, the university is taking admission in a total of 79 programs and 69 colleges. The counseling process has started and the 2nd phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) UG process has started from August 1.
CASA UG counseling consists of three stages. Phase I is for applying to Delhi University, Phase II involves filling the programs and colleges preferred by the candidate and Phase III involves allotment or admission round.
