Lakshya won the Olympics, Indian athletes disappointed in archery

Lakshya Sen won the ‘first’ match at the Olympics. On Monday, he defeated Julien Karaji of Belgium by 21-19, 21-14 points. Although he defeated Kevin Cordon in the first match, the match was ‘deleted’ from the Olympics due to Cordon’s withdrawal. As a result, officially this was Lakshad Sen’s first match in the Olympics. However, the male archers were disappointingly knocked out of the quarterfinals.

The fight in the first game was not easy for the target. Despite a good start, Karaji was fighting against the target at every point. The Indian player was kept under pressure. As a result, the target fell behind for a while. But slowly returned to the game. He made it 18-18 at one time. After that, he won the match by 21-19 points. In the second game, Lakshya continued to dominate from the start. The opposition seems to have lost its composure after seeing Karaji. Take that opportunity to go ahead 11-4. He could not be stopped. On the other hand, three Indian players, Dheeraj Bommadebra, Praveen Yadav, and Tarundeep Rai, were disappointed in the archery quarterfinals. They lost to Turkey by 2-6 points. Like the girls, their game was practically one-sided. As he scored 6, 7 in the beginning, he fell behind a lot in the beginning. After winning the first two sets, Türkiye went ahead with 0-4 points. India to win the third set. Failure returned in the fourth set. Türkiye won it easily and advanced to the semifinals.
