Assam is aiming to set up country’s third defense corridor in the state. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma during his visit to New Delhi has presented the proposal to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
Assam CM updating about the discussion with Defence Minister said, “After the setting up of a semiconductor unit in the state, we are keen that it becomes a defence production hub and Singh has responded positively to the proposal.”
However, setting up defense corridor in the state will significantly impact state’s economy landscape.
