Sunrisers Hyderabad’s two openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma showed rampage at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Batting first, they scored 100 runs in 5 overs. Hyderabad broke the record of Kolkata Knight Riders in power play. Head set another record.

KKR had the record for most runs in the powerplay in the IPL so far. In the 2017 competition, KKR’s two openers Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine scored 105 runs in 6 overs when they came to bat at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. That record was broken in this match.

Head and Abhishek made 125 runs in 6 overs.KKR also praised the two Hyderabad batsmen after breaking their own records. On their X (ex-Twitter) handle, they captioned the picture of that match and the openers, “Awesome. Never thought anyone would break Lynn and Narine’s power play record. Hyderabad, you guys are playing brilliantly this season.”
