The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) is pleased to announce the completion of its inaugural deep-dive workshops specifically designed with focus on various sectors of the Indian industry. The events took place in Mumbai on April 3, 2024, and New Delhi on April 5, 2024, at different venues.
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Climate Bond Initiative (CBI) have jointly organized workshops titled ‘Deep Dive in Green, Social, and Sustainability (GSS) Bonds Issuance Process’, sponsored by HSBC and The Kingdom of the Netherlands.The program aimed to bridge India’s climate financing gap by enhancing knowledge and fostering discussions on GSS bonds. It provided a platform for stakeholders to engage in dialogue and explore innovative financial mechanisms for sustainable development.
Participants from finance, real sector, and other industries participated in expert-led sessions on finance and sustainability, covering topics like the labelled bond universe, pre- and post-issuance processes, and country-specific contexts for GSS bond issuance. Shri Ashishkumar Chauhan, MD & CEO, NSE, stated, “At this pivotal moment, as we stand on the brink of a sustainability-focused financial revolution, our workshop on GSS Bonds marks a critical step towards closing India’s climate financing gap.”
