India celebrated Republic Day on 26 January, 2024, state Manipur took part and to showcase the featuring iconic Ima Keithel, affectionately known as the “Mother’s Market.”
About Ima Keithel, a 500-year-old market that is fully managed by women, which stands for “Nari Shakti”. The tableau displayed resilience of women in commerce carring age old process of spinning wheels, lotus which are transformed to fine fibre.
