Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has officially launched the ceremonial distribution of ration cards under National Food Security Act (NFSA).
According to the reports, over 42 lakh beneficiaries has received the card which was held in Guwahati.
The Assam CM has informed that every card holder of the state is eligible for for monthly allocation of 5kg rice without any cost. Also for this month, the benefits will be available till January 31.
