SHILLONG, Dec 14: Right now the deteriorating roads in Shillong have now prompted the State BJP vice president, Wankitbok Pohshna, to call out the state government so that they take immediate action in this regard. Actually Pohshna said that they understand that in a state which experiences one of the highest rainfalls in the world, maintaining roads is indeed a huge task. However, with holistic planning for quick remedial action, this public botheration can be minimised and even brought to a permanent end. The state BJP vice president said that a contingency fund should be set aside for immediate round-the-year repair of roads that have been damaged by time or by actions of nature. He also expressed surprise that the concerned department is yet to come up with a proper maintenance plan despite the “availability of resources”.
Actually today construction of road is very important and everyone is depended on it. Although weather is very important factor for construction of road as according to it road can be constructed. As we know in Meghalaya heavy rainfall happens and the government needs to consider it while constructing roads. In reality government need to construct good roads in Shillong so that people living here don’t get any problem and proper development happens here.
