Shillong, Dec 11: As a precursor to the next Lok Sabha general elections The District Election Office here initiated and flagged off an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) mobile demonstration van. RM Kurbah, DC of East Khasi Hills conducted the ceremonial flag-off along with election officials and representatives from various political parties. Actually the primary objective behind this initiative is to acquaint the public with the voting process using EVMs. The van’s itinerary includes traversing through all polling stations, serving as an educational tool to familiarize citizens with the EVM-based voting system. Before the impending Lok Sabha elections this step aims to enhance public awareness and understanding of the electronic voting process.
This initiative is very good as people need to know how to vote through Electronic Voting Machine. Today in India people don’t have awareness and for this reason they get disadvantage in many ways. It is actually very important to educate people by very simple way so that in future they will be able to work correctly. We should do this type of initiative so that common people can learn many things so that they don’t get disadvantage in future due to this.
